Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Book vs Movie
In the Book |
In the Movie |
Vampires possess heightened strength and may kill other vampires. |
The vampires are given additional abilities (invisibility, for instance) and a weakness to silver, causing the climatic scenes to concern the aquisition of enough silver to defeat the vampires. |
After John Wilkes Booth, a vampire, assassinates Lincoln, Henry turns Abe into a vampire, saying that some people are just to interesting to die. They fight together through World War II, and the last scene they are attending MLK's "I have a dream" speech. |
Film ends with Lincoln and Mary Todd leaving to go the Ford's theater. The movie fast forwards to present time where Henry is in a bar and says the same thing when he met Abe.
|
Abe is a vampire and attends Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech. |
He is assassinated and doesn't become a vampire. |
